Chongming Island 崇明岛, Shanghai

Chongming is an alluvial island – wiki speaking  (冲积岛 … an island or isle is a piece of land, distinct from a continent, completely surrounded by water, such as Hawaii) at the mouth of the Yangzi (Yangtze) River in eastern China covering 1,267 square kilometers (489 sq mi) as of 2010.

A friend just visited it and took few photos. I found these two interesting: Long Live Chairman Mao 毛主席万岁, Long Live CCP 共产党万岁 on the roofs.
